A few weeks ago I finally got a Macro lens, a nice 100mm Canon, since then I have been playing around and having fun learning how to use it correctly and taking some awesome shots in the process!
Also on an unrelated topic, I have 27 Harvard Classics, various authors (from Dante to Chaucer and Shakespeare) they are in great condition and make an awesome addition to any library. Have a look at the last photo to get an idea. They come with several Readers Digest condensed books, again with a large variety of the best authors from the last century. If you are interested, or know anyone who might be, please let me know and share the link. Books are knowledge and knowledge is power!
Anyway, back to the photos; here are a few from the last few days; let me know what you think!

All of these were taking with natural, ambient light, no flash was used. I like the look and texture of the antique type things, the old watch, an old tripod and some amazing old books. If you have any ideas, questions or thoughts on composition, throw them my way!
Some more food for thought: the only post processing to occur with these images, in fact most of my photos, is basic lightroom editing whilst converting from RAW to JPG. That is to say; cropping, basic exposure & colour correction, contrast and sharpening. I prefer the picture to be composed and created on the camera, not in a fancy editing suite. But that is just me; any rebuttals on that thought? Perhaps we can open a can of worms on this subject. . .
