Greetings - Brrr!

Yesterday for the first time in about 30 years it snowed in Johannesburg. Not just sleet mind you, my lawn was picturesque with a beautiful blanket of fluffy white powder that was about an inch deep.

For many it was an experience that meant running outside and lobbing snowballs at each other, rolling on the ground making snow angels, or scratching enough snow together to make a tiny snowman. The magical weather turned fully grown adults into children.

Despite the freezing wind I ventured outside to take some photos, not the easiest thing to do with snow as it just reflects everything back at you, but with some trial and error I succeeded with one or two.

The rest of the day had me sitting inside, well bundled, and staring out the window at a magical sight I will likely not see again.
